Shimiligwanda is known as the second oldest farm in the Vwawa area and traces back to 1989.  It was first known as "Camaro Farm" and managed by a German woman who owned approximately 67 acres of coffee on a large forest reserve.  In 2017, the farm was sold to a Tanzanian entrepreneur whose focus was to revitalize the aging plants by replanting many trees.  The farm currently encompasses about 130 acres of land. The name "Shimiligwanda" is used to represent the local chief of the Nyiha people of the area.

This lot is a peaberry version of Shimiligwanda's harvest.  If you're not familiar with peaberry coffee, have a look at this nicely summarized explanation by Perfect Daily Grind.

What stands out about this coffee is the immense, mouth-coating, velvety body.  This is partially due to the properties inherent in the coffee itself, but also due to the way we are able to roast it given its behavior during the roasting process.

Flavor Notes:  Lemon, Raspberry, Velvety
