This past Thursday, we hosted our inaugural edition of “LoveRVA Mornings.”  If you haven’t heard about these, you can click here to learn all the details.  In short, though, these are once-per-month events wherein we sell cups of our freshly roasted coffee and the dangerously delicious treats from C&C Cinnamon Rolls with 100% of the proceeds going to a local cause / charity.

July’s event benefitted the amazing work ongoing at the Richmond SPCA.  Thanks to the great response and generosity of good people in our community, we were able to raise $600 to assist them in their life-saving work.  This will go a long way toward caring for the homeless dogs, cats, and other animals who are currently in the care of the Richmond SPCA.

Next month’s event will benefit two teachers in the Richmond Public Schools system.  We’ve already begun soliciting nominations for those teachers, so if you know of someone who teaches at a Richmond City school and could use extra money to spend on their classroom this coming school year, please send along their name and why you think they’re deserving of the gift.

The August “LoveRVA Mornings” event will take place on Thursday, August 25th from 8:00 ’til 11:00 a.m.  If you live in the Richmond area, we hope to see you then as we come together to make a difference for our city’s future generations — and what a tasty way to do it!
